Devex Strengthens Project Leadership Through Accountability Training
Devex Incorporated conducted its “Accountability in Project Operations” training on July 10, 2026 to develop the leadership capabilities of its project personnel.
The session was facilitated by the Strategic Business Growth Department with Mr. Dan Franco, Vice President for Systems and Process Improvement, as the session’s trainer and facilitator. It brought together project heads, project managers, project engineers, and other project personnel.
The training focused on accountability and ownership in project leadership. Topics included leadership responsibility, effective delegation, project visibility, issue escalation, and the information and deliverables expected from project heads.
Participants also examined the distinction between responsibility and accountability, particularly when tasks are assigned or delegated within a project team. The session emphasized that project leaders continue to provide direction, supervision, and oversight even when specific responsibilities are assigned to others.
The session presented project-based scenarios involving budget, materials, manpower, subcontractor performance, safety incidents, reporting, and pending project concerns. These examples illustrated how accountability applies to situations commonly encountered in project operations.

Franco highlighted the importance of setting clear expectations, communicating consistently, and leading by example. He also emphasized that leaders build trust by demonstrating professionalism and taking ownership of their decisions and responsibilities.
The session concluded by encouraging participants to apply the principles discussed in their respective projects and teams. The training was intended to promote clearer coordination, better-informed decisions, and stronger project management.
