Devex Unleashes Potential Through Leadership Training

Devex brought its leaders together for “Leadership Unleashed,” a training focused on real conversations and practical leadership thinking. Held on December 13, 2025, the session gathered department heads, area managers, and senior project managers at the Devex Head Office to create a space for meaningful exchange and shared learning about management and leadership.
The training was led by Maria Avelet Bautista of Synergy at Work Learning & Development Corporation, whose facilitation encouraged participation and grounded discussions in actual situations. Conversations moved from leadership principles to workplace realities, allowing attendees to connect ideas with the challenges they face in their teams and projects.

One of the activities that took place during the session.
“What stood out for me were the activities and group exercises which made the discussions more engaging and helped us see how leadership styles play out. The workshops were not just fun, they made the lessons stick,” said Tyrone Dhan Tomalon, who was promoted as the Documentation Manager in 2025.
The session was conducted to align leaders on clear and consistent communication, strengthen emotional intelligence in people management, and improve decision making in complex work situations. It aimed to equip managers with practical approaches to problem solving, strategic thinking, and adapting to change while reinforcing coaching, mentorship, and trust within teams.

“As a young manager, the training taught me a lot about leadership. I have realized that leaders are like gardeners to a plant. They nurture growth, provide guidance, and create the right environment for others to thrive. With the right care and patience, they help people develop their strengths, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential.” said John Mico Caragay, who was promoted as the Design and Technical Manager in 2025.
This leadership training reflects the direction Devex is heading as a company, investing in its people while strengthening discipline in leadership and management. By focusing on continuous development, Devex nourishes accountability and sets standards for how leaders guide their teams.
